The Queen's Park Swizzle is one of the greatest rum cocktails ever devised, named after the Queen's Park Hotel in Port of Spain, Trinidad, where it was served to the British colonial elite in the early twentieth century. Built on aged Demerara or dark rum, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, mint, and a dramatic double-bitters finish of both Angostura and Peychaud's, it is assembled in a tall glass over crushed ice and swizzled rather than stirred โ a technique that frosts the glass and creates a perfect gradient of bitters, mint, and rum that is as beautiful to look at as it is to drink. Tiki pioneer Trader Vic called it 'the most delightful form of anesthesia given out today.'
