The Pornstar Martini is a modern British classic created by Douglas Ankrah at London's Townhouse bar in 2002 — a unapologetically indulgent blend of vanilla vodka, passion fruit liqueur, and passion fruit puree that's shaken, strained into a coupe, and traditionally served with a chilled shot of Prosecco on the side. The tropical sweetness of passion fruit against vanilla-infused vodka makes it immediately seductive, while the Prosecco palate cleanser adds a winking sophistication. Now one of the UK's best-selling cocktails, it's proved enduringly popular for good reason.
Ingredients
0.5 oz Lime Juice
2 oz Vanilla Vodka
1 oz Passion Fruit Puree
2 oz Prosecco
0.5 oz Vanilla Syrup
Instructions
- Combine vanilla vodka, passion fruit liqueur, passion fruit puree, vanilla syrup, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds.
- Fine-strain into a chilled coupe.
- Place half a passion fruit (flesh side up) on the rim or float it on top if possible.
- Serve with a chilled shot of Prosecco on the side — pour a little in between sips or drink it as a chaser.
