Captain's Blood is a dark rum sour in the Trader Vic tiki tradition, simple, strong, and built to let good rum shine. Lime juice and simple syrup balance the rum's richness, while a couple dashes of Angostura bitters add depth and a hint of spice. It's a no-frills classic that predates most of the elaborate tiki drinks that followed it.
Instructions
Add the rum, lime juice, simple syrup, and bitters to a shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.
