The Adios Motherfucker — commonly shortened to AMF — is the boozy, blue-hued cousin of the Long Island Iced Tea. Every base spirit gets a turn: vodka, gin, rum, and tequila all go into the shaker alongside Blue Curaçao, lime juice, and simple syrup, finished with a splash of club soda. The Blue Curaçao replaces the cola of a Long Island and gives the AMF its notorious electric-blue color. Despite containing four full spirits, it drinks deceptively smooth thanks to the citrus and fizz — which is precisely why it has a reputation for sneaking up on people. A staple of beach bars and college nights the world over.
Ingredients
0.75 oz Vodka
0.75 oz Light Rum
0.75 oz Blue Curacao
0.75 oz Gin
0.5 oz Lime Juice
0.5 oz Simple Syrup
0.75 oz Blanco Tequila
2 oz Club Soda
Instructions
- Fill a tall glass with ice.
- Combine vodka, gin, rum, tequila, Blue Curaçao, lime juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake briefly — just 5–8 seconds — to chill without over-diluting.
- Strain into the ice-filled glass.
- Top with club soda and stir gently.
- Garnish with a lime wedge.
